Lovely cozy pub , plenty of different beers and the food besides be big portions is all home made
Great atmosphere,brilliant staff, very good board of real ale/ciders etc. The food is awesome, never ever seen chips as large as the ones we had. Steak and ale is the way to go,although the burger looked lovely too. Great pub !!
I want to give it six out out five! Great pub with a great ethos of live music, phenomenal beer and a zero tolerance of swearing. Even on a Tuesday night it had a great vibe. Loved it, great place!
Good service, very quirky, love all the old signs, posters and trinkets. Friendly staff too. Its a little on the dark inside for my personal taste due to small windows and fairly low ceiling but most of it looks old and original so perfect for the traditional pub with a little quirk :-

Traditional stop off when we're in York for the day. Always a pleasant place en route to get the train home and generally we decide that one more drink is needed so we decide on the later train. Strictly no under 18s so not suitable for families with children but otherwise a great place to visit.
An amazing traditional pub with a modern, young, friendly & inviting atmosphere. 5 mins walk from the station & city centre. Fabulous selection of guest beers. Friendly, polite & professional staff. A fantastic night out.
