This is one of the better Wetherspoons. The place was clean, the service was quick, and our order was correct. There are roof windows so it's nice and bright inside. The staff were friendly and efficient. We came here for breakfast between 9.00 and 10.00 am. The photo is of my husband's large breakfast with an added black pudding.
Nice surroundings. Good, inexpensive food with lots of specials on offer. My Leffe Blonde was at the usual high Spoons standard. My partner had the jacket potato with tuna mayo and was impressed with the amount of salad she had. A well above average Spoons. Nice place.
The cask ale was marginally on the turn which was disappointing as I'd been looking forward to trying the Old Peculier on draft.nnThe food came extremely quickly with a very pleasant and friendly waitress. However, I was a little surprised by the relatively small portion size I had a salsa brunch or something.nnThe staff were accommodating and the place had a buzz. Unlimited Hot Chocolate morning only is a great idea until later!
Really good all round. Clean tables. efficient and helpful staff
Good atmosphere but tables don't seem to get cleared and cleaned very quickly probably because of lack of staff?I had the Sticky Chicken which was very spicy and I enjoyed it.
