This is the second time that I have used this establishment. On both occasions the orders were taken accurately, and the order was waiting to be picked up as arranged. The portions are very generous, with an exceptional amount of duck and chicken in the meals which we ordered. This is a very busy take away , which to me is always a good sign. I would not hesitate to recommend the Golden Horse, and I am looking forward to the next time that I get the take away urge!
New owners. Chicken and Pork Chow mein was delicious and the curry sauce was banging. Also the sweet and sour sauce was the best we have had. Delivered on time. Will definitely order again.Food: 5/5
Dreadful food, watched them cook in the back. There were 4 people cooking in a space of about 4ft. The cook was standing on cardboard, which I guess was down to mop up the oil on the old tiles. Boxes piled high by cooker and fire exit. When I brought the food home. The chicken was old meat- the smell Yuk. Didn't eat half of it. The food team need to get in there and sort it out

The food was fantastic, until we found a hair in the noodles. Basic hygiene measures like hair nets would have prevented this, and I would have been able to give a much higher rating. Based on other reviews, this is obviously an issue which needs correcting.
The last meal we had was disappointing.. chips were dry ..the meals were not up to the usual standard.Food: 2/5

Two & a half hours to wait for no takeaway. Disgusting. Way to difficult for a Chinese to actually deliver on time or at all in Ross-on-wye.
Unfortunately just had a takeaway from here and it was one of the worst I've ever had. The chicken curry was just passable, nice curry sauce but quite questionable pieces of chcken. Cheap and greasy meat. The special fried rice was virtually inedible. No rice and scraggy pieces of unidentifiable meat which neither of us were prepared to investigate too much. Not cheap either. Avoid at all costs. Shocking
The order came in wrong.. when I phoned up there was no apology except to say “she must have misheard” avoid this place if u can… the food wasn’t even any good!chips were coldFood: 2/5
