Impromptu stop off on a cycle through Emsworth. What a lovely pub! Staff were helpful, polite and top marks to the chef as food was fantastic, honest pub meal cooked to perfection.... nothing like a home made pie! We will be going back there again
Amazing Food and Great Service Last visit date December 2020 Always a pleasure to visit, caters for all ages, young and old. Different entertainment every weekend, great summer BBQ's and great value for money. An amazing family-run pub. One of my favourite stopovers, however since my last visit this has changed ownership. I will post further reviews once the opportunity arises to visit.
We booked in for our work christmas meal and loved it!! The staff are delightful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cosy and friendly. We loved the big open fire.
I’m hoping we caught them on a bad day but after an hour and a bit wait, our chicken and chips arrived. We were order number 5 on a sunny bank holiday and those with later numbers waited much longer. Our friend’s enquired about their food after an hour and a half and their order had been lost so they cancelled. Food wise, it was a disaster. Afternoon in their sunny garden however, pretty good. It was busy but not that busy, it was certainly quieter than most pubs would be under similar circumstances, I think they just need some more staff and a more reliable ordering system.
Friendly cozy pub with small but will form take of ales. Nice outdoor area when weather permits. Traditional food served which is well prepared. Hosts live music but I cannot imagine how loud it gets in such a tiny space.
Worked here before, now I'm happy to come in as a customer! The new landlord and lady know what they are doing! Great pub!
Great place for local drinks, band nights are good, new management are very nice and friendly. I just hope no one ruins the place with trouble and the wrong groups.

As ever the Lord Raglan delivered excellent food and a great drink. Its always been our favourite in Emsworth, sadly we are back up north and visited last week for old times sake. The garden and views are lovely. The barmaid was friendly and helpful. I think it may have changed hands again. We had scampi in a basket with chips for 7 pounds it was a good size portion.
Visited with friendsNice pub Food very very basic Ordered 4 meals One with chips 3 with mash came out 3 chips one mash By the time it came back our friends had nearly finished theirs,not good Thought it was expensive for what we got Sorry won't be going there again
