Excellent pub in Southwold tucked away in a side street just off the sea front. We go to Southwold quite regularly and always have a very good meal at The Lord Nelson. Try the fish pie. Beer is also well kept. It is always extremely busy but you can usually find a table in a corner somewhere. It seems to be the most popular pub in the town with lots of locals and regulars so the visitor can perhaps feel slightly out of things.

Not too many pubs stock Adams Oyster stout but the Lord Nelson does. A comfortably cosy local pub with an open log fire in the heart of Southwold which also serves food. There's a courtyard out back with tables some of which are under a covered area with heating - if it's too busy inside. A nice crowd on Sunday afternoon.

A lovely pub. They like/allow dogs so that gets my vote. Great choice of beverages and to top it all welcoming, friendly and efficient staff

Great place for a pint. Very well kept Adams beers, roaring fire, and good food. Most of all friendly staff, who are welcoming.
