Sat night meal...didn't book. Walked from Southwold. I had 2 starters instead of a main.....wonderful fish chowder then corned beef hash with poached egg and sauce. So very very nice. Husband had whitebait and fish pie- big eater but too much even for him. Definitely worth the walk.

Staff were really good about my girlfriend's nut allergy. In fact this place is heaven because one of the kitchen staff has a nut allergy. My fish and chips was really nice, but the fish was a little small. As with almost everywhere in Southwold a good place to get an Adnam's beer. Drink prices seemed particularly reasonable.

A nice pub with good food and service This pub is quite large, with seating in front, behind and inside this building. The food is good pub fare and the beer OK. It's a bit of a walk from Southwold town centre without much shade (beware on very hot and sunny days!). You can walk from here down to the working Southwold harbour but that's not very interesting as a tourist site. We'd gladly come back here for lunch next time we are staying in Southwold.

Lovely pub where you can stop for lunch on a round walk from Southwold down to the harbour and back. The food is always good, especially the fish and chips, but the menu may not be quite so varied now as a few years ago. On this visit we had a superb pint of Adnams Ghost Ship. The pub is large but can get very busy at peak times.

This pub is a must! They have the best fish and chips I’ve tasted! It’s also in a unique part of Southwold - not too touristy.
