This cafe was recommended by a friend so we popped in. Greeted by smiling friendly staff, fresh patisseries and it was clean too. The lovely girl behind the counter explained that even the lemon curd in the lemon drizzle cake was handmade! Sold! And it tasted even better than it looked. The loft is a great asset to Dorchester!

Excellent food lots locally sourced the best burger, salt beef sandwich and scrambled eggs we've had out for a long time. Still good friendly service. I pop in when I can for the loft cokked breakfast its a lovely way to start the weekend.

The father and daughter proprietors were very friendly and described some of the interesting things to do and see on and around the coast near Dorchester. The food, drinks and service were excellent, even though we arrived just before closing time!
Great service and coffee/food. Quirky but limited seating area. Be prepared to climb stairs!
