Wonderful find, amazing value, super friendly staff. Our food was delicious, and the coffee was good to wash it down. Loads to choose from and it nice and hot when served. The place was clean and welcoming, will return when next in Dorchester.
Great cafe food, good sized portions with Basil Fawlty/Soviet style service. Recommended.Food: 4/5
Its so disgusting when a manager openly shouted at her staff for not doing her job properly. The poor girl didn't do anything wrong...it may have been acceptable in the managers day of being degrading to staff but not today. The food was thrown together, the over priced small mugs of tea, the toilets are broken and you are cramp in when you squeeze in the seats.
We come here. One of our mums favourite places. Turns out we have been coming as long as the lady on the till. A lovely place.Food: 5/5
Despite it being incredibly busy the lady behind the counter was friendly and kept apologising for the wait. That was OK What wasn't OK was my food eventually being slammed down in front of me by a guy who didn't seem to enjoy working there. Didn't enjoy it much after that hence the 2 stars
I am sorry to say it was the worst fish and chips we ever had in our lives. My husband I made a trip to beautiful city of Dorchester, by late afternoon we were starving and were looking for a traditional fish and chips. Saw the sign on The Gorge advertising home made tradition food. We ordered the food and were shocked when the food arrived. The fish were ready made frozen, out of packet, the frozen peas were shrivelled, the chips were ok. We were Very disappointed but forced it down because we were very hungry. Unfortunately later on we suffered as our stomach couldn’t digest the food. Totally waste of money.
Not a pleasant experience, staff told at least 3 separate diners not to sit at certain seats without any reason . They had been cleaned during my visit so why ?? Also my omelette was like scrambled egg with the toppings added. They won't be seeing me again. Only plus was the staff were reasonably polite.
Very plesent, staff were polite and friendly, nice meal .Food: 5/5
Service with a smile and conversation. Food was prepared quickly and was tasty. The fried egg was perfect. Great cooked breakfast.Food: 5/5
