What a lovely little cafe on the High Street. The staff were so friendly and falling over themselves to be welcoming and accommodating, cleaning and sanitising the table best distanced from other guests. The food was freshly prepared and delicious especially the home made gluten free carrot cake. We will certainly make it a regular stop.
Lovely old fashioned tea house! The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic and it's a lovely quaint building. The prices are fair and great for what you get; fresh tasty food... My favourite Dorchester cake shop!
I really love this place. The breakfast is cooked perfectly and it’s great you can choose the elements of the meal you want. Accompanied by a mug of tea, great service and surroundings what could be better!
Popped in for a late lunch. A really warm welcome. Good range of food including all day breakfast along side a number of specials. Had a lovely meal and a cuppa followed by a piece of the lovely cake. Well worth a visit and what is great is this is a local business!
A beautiful cafe in the centre of Dorchester. Such a lovely welcome by the owners and fabulous milkshakes and homemade cakes. What was not to love! This was brilliant and dog friendly too. We will be back to this gem of an eatery in the heart of Dorset. Thank you to John and the team!
Incredibly friendly people who work at this cafe, very welcoming and acommodating. The cafe itself is very cosy, a beautiful historical building with lots of lovely bits and bobs on the shelves to admire. I would highly recommend checking out this local gem. The cream teas are delicious! And the breakfasts are amazing, being able to 'build your own breakfast' is fab! I can't wait to come back and try some more food
Visiting Dorchester and this place was recommended. Food was fine and reasonably priced. Lots of history with this particular building as it was originally part of the theatre. Has links with Lawrence of Arabia and Thomas Hardy. Staff are very helpful
Popped in for a quick cup of tea etc but saw, and just had to have, a do-nut man, a local speciality, who is covered in a rather delicious glace icing. He had a ttc, toasted tea cake with his tea and I polished off a rather good strawberry milkshake. What a good decision it was. Lovely cafe, friendly staff and exceptional service, oh and the food was rather delicious as well. A wall full of history explaining the cafe name. Will read it properly next time. Well and truly on the ever growing list of places to return too in the future. If you are near by then this cafe is totally the place to go. As usual please don't tell anyone else, lol. Enjoy.
Four of us stopped by and had lunch and pud, was excellent, tasty and good value with friendy service. 100% recommend
