A really lovely canal-side setting and great food. I had breakfast here which was very nice indeed. Parking is available nearby but if on a motorbike you can pull down the lane next to the cafe.
This is a lovely place right on the canal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there were plenty of tables available on our visit. We really enjoyed our food, the children portions were quite large which made the lad happy.nDefinitely worth a visit on a sunny day.
Our second year to visit. We are a large group of 14 so booked our table in advance for brunch. Food took around 45 minutes to be served but that suited us fine as we were a group who had not been together for a year so lots to catch up on. The young people serving us were excellent. So efficient. All the orders came out perfectly. Food was great and good value.nWe came back in the afternoon and found space for 12 of us and we had ice-cream. Oh my but that ice-cream was good.nWould thoroughly recommend and being on the river their is lots to see.
Short but sweet visit. Great food and drink. Nice and quiet when I went, just what I wanted.nnSecond visit, I had the full boatman. What a treat! I'm sure I ended up with a full tin of plum tomatoes!nnThere's a huge choice on the menu, including lots of choice of what items to have for your breakfast.nnGreat service. They prefer payment up front, which is fair enough these days.
Food was good, but becoming a bit pricey for what it is. Atmosphere is good with plenty of outside seating near the canal. A few too many servers Just hanging around Not enough chefs by the sound of it A lot of people around us complaining about long food wait times on meals Wait time for drinks and cakes/cream teas was fine.
