* Room looks nothing like the one in the pictures. It's extremely small and outdated. * It will take you 1 hour to take a proper shower, there's barely any water coming out. * Towels smell funky. * Our heater was not working and they said they had received the same complaint from other guests. * 4 floors but elevator only goes up to number 3 so if you have heavy luggages and they give you a room on the 4th like they did to me, you will have to carry them upstairs. * Fire alarm went off twice in 3 days, probably due to smokers. * Window can be easily opened but can't say the same about closing it. * They do not give you a "Do not disturb" sign. A cleaning lady came into our room at 8 in the morning she knocked for 2 seconds, did not have time to even react since we were sleeping. * Toilet is extremely close to the bathtub, if you're slightly tall your knees will hit it. * Shower curtain is very ugly, makes the place look ghetto and is too long so here and there you will find yourself stepping on it as you take a shower. * Only one trash can bathroom one and no lid.
I don't understand how this hotel is allowed to remain open. I read the reviews before booking and expected poor cleanliness, but not like this. The first hotel room 004 had a lot of trash and dust, but the worst part was that there was a mouse trap bait in the corner below the bed, and it looked like they had covered a hole in the wall with a rag. The mice in the walls entered the room while we were trying to sleep, and that was the last straw, so we complained and were given another room. We didn't receive an apology or any help with moving our belongings, and it was around 1 a.m. Our second hotel room 407 still had an empty beer can and some clothing left behind by previous guests. Additionally, one of the lamps above the bed was hanging by a few cords, and one of the windows was broken, so it couldn't be closed completely. As a result, it was very cold at night. There was also a mouse trap inside the room, so they are aware of the problem, but they said it's required by law for hotel rooms to have such traps? When we returned to the room after a long day, we saw a mouse running across the entire room and disappearing into a hole. The staff didn't seem shocked, and we received a small apology, but no compensation.
Our experience at Lily hotel was more than miserable. We were 4 canadian friends, with two rooms. We all traveled a lot, and we have never seen an unsanatary hotel like this. First, the rooms were not clean at all; in the first room, everything was dirty, and unsanitary We found blood in our sheets, along with hairs and eyelashes. The floor was dirty, as well as the shower and the desk. The water from the tub was brown. We didn't want to brush our teeth because of it. The main bathroom light was not working. The second room was as dirty as the first one, luckily we had 1 toilet paper roll. When we arrived the windows were open in both of the rooms. It was 4 degrees outside and it was 11pm.We slept in the cold, and it took a good 12 hours to get the warmth back. On the second day, after the maid had 'clean' our room, we entered our room with a intense smell of cigarette. The smell was so intense, we had to open the windows for 4 hours at night time. We know someone used a cigarette in our room, it is undeniable because the smell arrived all of a suden after the room was cleaned, and none of us smokes. There were no towels, and no toilet paper. We had to ask for everything. We had to sleep with our clothes on because of the hairs in the bed, we felt like It was not clean. The hallways of the hotel were dirty, there were towels on the ground to leave the doors open between each section on each floors, the carpets where dusty and the walls stained with yellow marks. We are students who paid a lot to travel to London, and it made our experience miserable, we were tired because we couldn't sleep with the cold. This hotel was a disaster, don't pay the price.
At first we were sceptical about the reviews we read when we booked however we stayed for four nights last week. Room was a bit small but it’s in the centre of London and basically you are paying for location. We spend most of the days outside exploring London so only used the hotel to sleep. It’s very basic but it has what you need. If your looking for a better hotel there is Ibis which is more expensive. We would stay here again in future , I think a lot of people expect more for their money but in reality this is London so if you don’t want to pay much go here. If you expect more then maybe find another hotel that serves your needs. Easy access to metro and bus services - pubs down the road including shops. No issues when we stayed.
Very expensive hotel for what it is !! The quality of the room is so poor. You can barely walk in it's so tight. The curtain for the shower is disgusting. Without saying all the noise in the car park. So pay 100£ more and book at the ibis !
Absolutely not recommended. Absolutely not worth more than 30 quid a night. Not even Backpackers will chose it. Way too expensive. Rooms r extremly small, consumed, bed is too used, no comfort. Pictures online r old! Needs a makeover.Rooms: 1/5
Minging! Didn’t expect much but at the very least you would expect a basic standard of cleanliness. Room clearly has not been cleaned in several weeks. Surfaces sticky, bogies in the wall, dusty, mouldy and hair in the kettle. Wallpaper peeling and mould underneath. We only booked for one night but could not get ourselves to stay.
Very low standards for everything. Horrible beds and pillows, very bumpy and lumpy. Very poor sleeping experience. Low pressure hot water in the shower. Very narrow toilet space. Leave alone no TV remote and no lift to the floor they put me in. It's cheap but still very overpriced to what it offersRooms: 1/5
I wish I could give it lower than 1 star. I booked this hotel for my son who had to stay in London for an audition the next day. he walked into the room and was in there for all of 5 minutes! the room was full of mould, it obviously hadn't been cleaned or repaired in a long time! doors were broken and hanging off the wall, sockets were hanging off the wall, there were stains all over the curtains god only knows what the stains were and there was a strong smell of drugs throughout the corridor. I wouldn't let a dog stay here let alone a human! if you have any sense you will avoid!! my son sent me photos of the issues and I couldn't believe the state of it I contacted the hotel and they refused to provide a refund even after the photos were sent to them. They are only interested in getting your money
We stayed for a week, a family trip. I read some horrible reviews online therefore I have very low expectation when I arrive. You get what you paid for, the room I stayed was not that horrible but floor still dirty, broken facilities, at least I got the remote therefore my son can watch tv. But if you asked me, next time I rather pay a bit more then stay in a nicer hotel.
