Good selection of stores in this shopping mall. I was trying to buy a nice gift for a friend’s birthday. Sad a lot of construction going on in the town centre which casing trouble to people for moving around. Wasn’t easy to navigate around but the good thing i bought something for a friend.
Compared to many small shopping centres these days, the Lanes still have a decent selection of shops and cafes. Carlisle is currently undergoing lots of work. Carlisle is definitely a place worth visiting.
The Lanes shopping cent contains a Primark store a super drug store an HMV store a Costa , Greggs and Muffin Break store which all provide hot food and drinks.nThe city Library is also located in the lanes complex and is accessible via an escalator and staircase.nThere are a number of other stores which sell shoes, fashion clothes, fashion accessories, jewelry, fragrances, etc.nUnfortunately, the large Debenham store is now closed .nAll the shops are undercover and many are open seven days a week .nThe Lanes is located in the centre of the city and parking is available.nThe development itself is spacious and pleasing to the eye in my opinion .
We visited Carlisle the last time we were in the Lake District, its quite a drive from Ambleside, but well worth it, The Lanes Shopping Centre is in the heart of the town centre, has great shops, surrounded by plenty more shops and coffee bars in the town. Well worth a visit.
It's always a nice and clean place to venture around when we travel to carlisle, I usually park my car in the disabled spaces not far away from the shopping centre and normally head towards Costa coffee for a much needed coffee fix and a break from all the driving. The indoor shopping reminds me of the mill gate in Bury Greater Manchester area where I used to live nearby before me and my carer moved to Whitehaven in January 2020.nAnd after visiting the lanes we normally head off to the Toby Carvery before we head back home.nPlenty of shops to look around and all wheelchair friendly.nThe huge bear was a favourite this time around to take some family photos to keep as I don't get to spend a lot of time with my grown up children here pictured just recently.nTake your family here and enjoy a fantastic day, its got a lot going for it.
