While our online reservation at The Lambwath led to a disorganised start, being told to find our own table and ending up at an oversized table for two, we had a lovely visit. The carvery deal was excellent, and Nicola provided wonderful, attentive service. We'd return but will call to confirm seating next time
We came for a late decision tea and ended up having carvery's. We had a lovely server called Jasmine, who has really friendly and helpful and very good talking to our teenage daughter. The food was great. And all the other servers we had interactions with were very polite and welcoming.nWe came and it wasn't too busy to say it's a Saturday evening. And seemed very family friendly.
A lovely big and spacious pub.nI had the vegetarian mushroom suet pastry pie with my carvery. My wife downloaded the app and we got 25% off. All in all a lovely experience and great meal for our friend's birthday.
The beef was really tough and actually inedible. The desserts ridiculously expensive for very small desserts, DO NOT get the build your own sundae!!! Daylight robbery. Pictured is the Eton mess Sundae which was disguised by the bubble waffle but actually had the smallest amount of ice cream possible. Next is apparently the build your own sundae which is clearly just 2 very small scoops of ice cream with basic toppings for over £5!! I think it was £5.79p. False advertising to call that a Sundae as it has none of the other ingredients featured in the other sundaes on the menu.nnLambwath responded to my review stating it is 1,2 or 3 scoops of ice cream with FREE topping, DON’T CALL IT A SUNDAE THEN!! Also at that price the topping isn’t free is it?! should state that it is a very small, much smaller than average ice cream scoop too.
Went this evening with my family 4 adults 4 children and was served in the bar area by a lovely helpful lady. She made sure we got the best deals available.nFood was lovely and all kids enjoyed their choices.nCouldn’t have experienced a better visit
