There is something not quite right here I think. Food was fine, nothing special but not awful, wine actually quite nice. Service was good but the owners behaviour is like nothing I have witnessed before. Sat at a table for the whole evening, watching everything and giving orders to the one person who was working. He grabbed the hand of the waitress at one point and repeatedly kissed her hand whilst watching me dining alone I could see her flinching when this was happening. This is my observation and I could have read it incorrectly. Plus there was a picture of the owner with Boris Johnson so that was the final straw for me.
First time to try Greek cuisine. We also ordered a Sea Bass grilled fish and that's definitely tastey, fresh and juicy. The free side dish, baked bread, was another plus. We were also provided with a free fruit mix. Service was warm. Highly recommended.
the worst experience I've ever had. Food quality was below average - too salty, not fresh - as from ready-meal box. Service was just appalling - had to wait 45 min for a simple salad to be served and had to chased the waiter 4 times. As for the bill, they tried to overcharged for drinks. When I refused to pay tips - was faced with swearing and even racial abuse. I was on a verge of calling the police! Do avoid the place!
Great service and excellent food, very authentic and absolutely delicious . Came back for a second night and it was just as great! Ordered the Mixed Kebab and it was phenomenal! Also appreciate that they give you a free starter of pita and free dessert of fresh fruit. Best Greek restaurant around!
If you like the Faulty Tower Egyptian Style experience this is the restaurant for you. The Egyptian waiter was inattentive and rude. While taking our order he kept looking outside, hence, we didn't receive our starter. The bread was just thrown on the table. The relationship between the waiter and his lovely polite waitress was very uncomfortable to watch. In one hand he was rude to her and when she was upset he kept kissing her. He also kept shouted at the kitchen staff. When the food arrived, the fish was excellent but my husband's so called stow was good but in a very small portion. We will not come back
RUDE WAITER!!!! I went there with three other friends on a Sunday evening. We were greeted by an Egyptian waiter so he said. He was nice at first but when it came to take our order we felt a bit rushed. This wasn't too much of a big deal at this point as we were aware that we were the last customers of the night. When the bread was brought to our table, the waiter would just throw it in the basket in front of us which was an unusual way of doing things. We just decided to ignore it ... Throughout the evening; we also noticed that he was not very pleasant to the other waiter working with him, talking to him like a child in front of us... Later when we asked for the bill, this waiter told us we couldn't pay by card. This information was not given to us prior to taking the order. We explained we had no cash and had to pay by card. He became angry, shouted at us and demanded us to get some cash to pay the bill. This was shocking and disgusting! When we told him his behaviour was unacceptable, his reply was "I don't care".....the meal didn't deserve to get paid for. My friends who were on holiday in London, were not impressed.The worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant. Would not recommend.
We also received a free starter and a free desert fruit which were lovely. Mixed grills were nice as was the staff. Deducted a bitfor receiving french fries when we asked for rice. Would easily go back there.
As Greek i can assure you that there is nothing Greek about this place. The food was really bad as far as the quality and the service was the worst experience of my life. When we finished our meal the waiter kicked us out of the restaurant i suspect that the waiter was the owner; a dark skin old man because he wanted to go somewhere that didnt specify. IT was around noon and we were the only customerst at that time. It was our last day so we prefered not to ruin his place and furhermore our holiday. AVOID!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!
This restaurant is terrible. We were charged for food that we did not order and when we complained to the manager, he was extremely aggressive to the extent that it was intimidating and I had to ask him to stop being so aggressive. I have never encountered such poor service. The food was distinctly average and overpriced. Do not go to this awful restaurant.
Lovely restaurant, nice and friendly staff. Gave us free starter and a fruit salad and the end of the meal. Food is tasty, I recommend it. Not expensive considering the area.
