It was my first visit since we recently moved to the area. Looks so nice as a store outside as well as the interior. Everything is placed nicely and neatly. Though, the prices are a joke and nothing particular in terms of taste. Most items don't even have price tags. So you go at the till and you get : "Surprise!"
I saw nice elderflower drinks and "posh" ice cream. The store was tidy and organised. I was greatly impressed by the big slices of cake for £3 odd.
This place is crazy expensive, I live local and have tried to justify it multiple times and have always been met with bad service and attitude. Also found out today that not only is the pre-cooked salmon expensive to begin with, they price it on weight and weigh it including the plastic box its served in! Jay’s down the road is much nicer.
The staff are soo lovely, highly recommend the pistachio rose cake so light and just melts in your mouth
Frequent customer of Raoul’s. Their products are lovely and of very high quality. The prices are high, but I think justified by the quality of the food. Two things I wish they’d improve on which feel like they are recurring themes in some of these reviews, so hopefully management pays attention : 1. The staff is very unfriendly. There is never a smile, rarely a greeting, doesn’t make one feel welcome. 2. We have had multiple experiences now with rotten cheeses, to the point where we sadly can no longer buy cheeses there. The store refunded us when we tried to return it the first time, but on the second and third times it happened it just didn’t feel worth it to even try anymore. I’m guessing it’s either an issue with their refrigeration or they buy cheeses too old from their suppliers. Overall, we want to keep patronising this wonderful indecently owned community establishment, but really hope that management takes these Google reviews into account and does something about them.
This place is a true local gem which has a very nice and unique feel, and a great selection of both externally supplied and made-on-the-spot products Shish Raoul's might be my most favourite thing to eat in the world!. Been a regular customer here for 5.5 years and have always received excellent service, so very surprised to read reviews about unfriendly staff. I also find prices completely reasonable, if not low, for a shop of this kind. Hats off to Geraldine and her team and please keep doing what you're doing!
The pastries look very nice haven't tried. The service is very slow, even though there was no queue. The staff acts like you're doing them a favour by shopping there. I had to wait longer, because they made a wrong coffee at first. Prices are good, but the coffee is rather average too. Before I used to get coffee on the other side of the street in the dedicated cafe, but now everything has moved to the deli. This time the coffee didn't taste good, usually it was quite nice
We are honoured to supply our Award-Winning Norfolk County Ice Cream to this excellent Delicatessen! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and they stock a wide variety of products. Highly recommend.
I have been coming here a couple of times a week for the last three months - I had good and bad experiences however the quality of the service is inconsistent except for one polish attendant. Last visit was a big disaster. I was told in an angry tone that the manager said no smoothies for me due to the addition of the carrots used in my smoothie which I was always willing to pay for. On top of that when I asked for the ginger biscuits for my daughter I was told "no body eats that" to which I replied "my daughter loved it."And one of the attendants were so rude, when I asked to half my pizza - he immediately snapped at me he said "madam we don't do that in here," thinking I was only going to buy a half. The whole visit was a bad experience.I'm not coming here again.
Absolutely love both the deli and the cafe. I've been going there for over 15years and always find the staff very accommodating. I order a turmeric, lemon and ginger shot which is not on the menu but the staff are always willing to make it for me. The quality of the products is very good too.
