Went for a glass of wine after work. Quick service. We had a couple of side dishes including oysters and mushroom arancini. It’s a great place for dates and small groups of 3-4 people. They also have few tables outside.
Good food, nice to sit outside and people watch.Food: 5/5
All of the more affordable items were not available and we were guided to the more expensive. This was for the steak and the wine. The courgette flowers are wildly overpriced. £12 for one flower is crazy - we were also somehow charged £60 for 6? Felt as though we were purposely target to overpay versus prices and items on the menu.Food: 3/5
Had a wonderful time on our first visit here….. definitely won’t be the last! Fantastic wine list, food to suit all tastes and Annie who was our server was just brilliant, polite, friendly and really made us feel welcome.Food: 5/5
Great elegant place with character and a wide selection of wines. We enjoyed a sunny day sitting in the tables outside. We ordered few bites and everything was tasty as well as nicely presented. Staff was extremely friendly and very responsive to our requests. Would definitely return.
Such wonderful cooking for a local eaterie; very reasonable price point too - as though you are actually in France and it is your human right to eat well. I had a delicious beetroot and trout cut into a tiny mound of food which was such a delicate flavour soaked with gin the waiter said then boulabaisse. Excellent wine list and knowledge from staff. Small restaurant so book or be disappointed. A neighbourhood gem. The wine was perfect I had to go buy some afterwards.
Friendly and very attentive service, great wine, perfect cozy ambience, and excellent food. The wine list had lots of choices at various prices including many affordable choices. The food is the reason to come. We ordered several sides in addition to one shared main and enjoyed everything brought to the table. The cheesy polenta, Courgette flower, sweet Sicilian prawns, charcuterie, roast French quail, and roasted lamb rump were all perfectly prepared, and each was remarkably flavorful. Even the green peas I'm not usually a fan were gorgeous. The lemon tart was a great finish to the meal. Really great restaurant.
Food and service were below expectations. Service staffs were quite arrogant. Thru out the meals they stay away from our table , we end up pouring our own drinks and waited forever for the bill until the next shift staff came to our aid. Shame. We were at the area by chance and came here because of the positive reviews post online however we had a very opposite experienced. Food wise although well plated it is not tasty at all......
The restaurant is very cozy and the waiters were very attentive. The oysters and prawns were very fresh. I also had the roasted quail which was done to perfection. The meat was very moist and succulent and the celeriac purée and the sweet and sour margarita onion complemented the quail very well. The whole dish was very well executed in flavor and in a modern style.
Lovely restaurant in Marylebone. The service is very kind, wine is great and food was good but I ordered a sirloin steak and the peppercorn sauce was watery and had no flavour, this is one of my favourite sauces but this one definitely disappointed me.
