When visiting the UK I brought my wife here to see where I had good memories with my mum n dad. Still nice inside. What has cost this place one star was lack of service. We were shown a table to sit at but that was it.... Totally ignored. I went to the bar to ask about service and was told to place our order there. Maybe if we had been told this we wouldn’t have wasted so much time waiting. Staff training would be helpful for this different approach to ordering food and explaining this to people when being shown their table. As it was the food was very good but the soup was only warm. Reasonable pricing. One young male was the only friendly member of staff who acknowledged us as we were finishing our meal. Giving a 4* and hope for others that it was just a glitch in service otherwise a 3* would have been more appropriate. Staff need to be more attentive, caring and friendly to customers and that is down to the owner observing how they work.

Really enjoy this pub. Food can occasionally be a bit bland but on most occasions its spot on. Service is good, ambience is good and the staff seem happy in there jobs! Good range of drinks as well. It's family friendly as well but call ahead to book because they get busy often.

Typical Ember Inn pub. Comfy. Good atmosphere. Good choice of beers. Average pub food.

I really like it here. I come with a friend when we want to get away from our local area for an evening. Mostly we have tea or coffee and relax. The outside area is nice as well as it does not feel like you are as close to the main road as you actually are.

Good pub! I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. Good menu as well, and great prices.
