It's decent. The lasagne was not really good, but the kids meal was only 1 pound and okay. The pub looks nice inside and they have lots of drinks and space. Sometimes this is all you need.
Had a lovely meal with the wife. Food was delicious and the blonde girl who served us was lovely.nWas horrified with the manager on shift, arguing with a woman clearly trying to enjoy her family meal. She went over and began an argument with the other customer about what they ordered. The members of the table made it clear that they had already sorted the meal between them and the manager persisted to argue, calling her out on her attitude which there wasn’t any. She then stormed around the section clearing tables. As a fellow hospitallity worker I’m disgusted that someone like that is in charge of the venue.nOnce again the food was delicious!
Hi, we are regularly in The Greville Arms as the staff are friendly, food is fresh and presented well. We get loyalty stamps which in had we get a free drink, money off etc which is a bonus. Bar staff always so hello and keep the pub clean with no issues if you need something.nnAlso two meals for £14.00 which is great week day price.nnThank you
This place is not suitable for watching football matches. The staff and many of the other diners were unfriendly and treated us poorly because we were supporting our team during a World Cup match.nnThe server took our order in a rude and unprofessional manner. Throughout the game, we were repeatedly shouted at and told not to celebrate when our team scored, simply because we were in the minority. Instead of creating a welcoming atmosphere for all football fans, the staff made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.nnThey shouldn’t host any football match fans if they really annoy from the fans voices during the match.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment my husband, our friends, and I received while watching the Egypt vs Australia match at your pub.nnWe had arranged to meet friends there to watch and support Egypt. Throughout the match, a member of your bar staff—a slim young white man with a buzz cut, whose name I unfortunately do not know—repeatedly approached us and told us to stop cheering or to keep our celebrations quieter whenever we supported our team.nnWhat made this particularly upsetting was that there were other groups in the pub who were speaking considerably louder throughout the evening, yet they were never approached or asked to quieten down. This left us questioning whether we were being singled out because we were supporting Egypt and my friends happened to communicate half in English half in Arabic.nnWe were not intoxicated, nor were we behaving aggressively or causing any disruption beyond cheering for our team during a football match. We are all working, contributing members of the Solihull community who simply wanted to enjoy the game with friends. While our celebrations may have reflected our culture and enthusiasm, they were never disrespectful or inappropriate.nnThe repeated interventions by your staff member made us feel unwelcome, singled out, and deeply uncomfortable. Regrettably, the disparity in how we were treated compared with other customers gave us the impression that prejudice may have influenced his actions. Whether or not that was his intention, that is how the experience felt to us, and it was both upsetting and humiliating.nnWe left feeling that we had been treated with unnecessary hostility and a lack of respect simply for supporting our national team. As a result, we have decided that we will not be returning to your pub, nor will we be visiting any other pubs in your group.nnI hope you will investigate this incident, speak to the staff member involved, and reflect on how customers from different backgrounds are made to feel in your establishments. No one should leave a pub feeling unwelcome because of the team they support or their cultural background.nnWe were lucky enough that the patrons of the pub made us feel welcome and congratulated us after the win, which speaks volumes for the wonderful community the pub serves.nnI look forward to hearing your response.
