We stumbled upon this little gem of a place by accident, we were on the hunt for some nice lunch. Inside we received a warm welcome and delicious food. The chef must truly take pride in their work, everything was really tasty. The service was very attentive, the gentleman made us feel like friends or family! Will definitely be returning!
Had a lovely lunch in this atmospheric inn. The food was tasty and nicely presented. There was a good selection of drinks available at the bar. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The menu was clearly marked for various dietary needs and some additional meals can be modified to account for gluten free. There is a smallish car park but the entrance to the laft isn't obvious, we'll know next time. It wasn't the right weather today but the beer garden looks nice. Nearby activities: Close to Montacute House NT and St Michaels Tower. Ham Hill is walkable from here, or drive. Walkability: Various footpaths cross the local landscape. Take an easy detour off the Ladys Walk to visit the Inn.
Excellent choices at the bar, nice old stone building, exterior garden and parking nothing too special but all ok. Clean, staff on the case, well run, nice atmosphere. If you’re visiting Montacute house would highly recommend as a watering hole; much better option than National Trust outlet and within a short walk of the car park
We came upon this place purely by accident and what a delight! The dinner was amazing and the service super friendly. Room was cozy. Loved it. It should be on everyone's list.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent place to stay and eat. We came to attend a wedding close by from Australia. If your a fan of Midsomer murders its got all the vibes in the pub and village. Take a drive up to Ham hill for lunch at the Prince of Wales pub great food and views.Rooms: 5/5
Stopped for coffee. Good service. Coffee was good but not that hot, however this is usual for coffee machines. Altogether lovely pub and experience.Service: 5/5

Lovely pub in a quaint village. Room was comfy and clean with a lovely bed and bed linen. Nice to have a decent shower with soft towels . Wonderful breakfast - had a full English - a proper one. Quality all round - enjoyed the stay. Car park at the rear with a nice pub garden. Montacute house and grounds are well worth a visit too.Rooms: 5/5

I always like to come back here when I work down in Yeovil. The area is picturesque and very relaxing, especially on a sunny day. The hotel staff are always lovely and helpful. Rooms are comfy and full of character. Plus the food is a whole another bonus! I had a lovely Venison Sweet Potato Pie which was spot on, very comforting and full of flavour. Then the Beef Sirloin was cooked to absolute perfection with the most amazing presentation and all the ingredients are not just there for the looks, it all goes together perfectly. Very yummy. It's clear that this place is well looked after
