We met with Meg last December to discuss the details of our dear late husband and father's wake. She could not have been any more helpful.nThe food was served on time tasty and hot and replenished when needed. Meg was happy to help with our requests and the wake went very smoothly. The room was very welcoming we had full use of the front-of-house bar areanThank you Meg, I apologise for the late review.
We stayed overnight for a family funeral and were pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the room, which had been kindly upgraded. It had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable . The staff were all very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had the wake there and they put on a decent spread with delicious homemade cakes and homemade quiches made by Meg, who organised everything with care . It's the perfect size for an intimate occasion. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Yeovil , which suited us as it was 5 mins drive to the crematorium. We'd definitely stay here again !
Stayed again for business my last review below, this stay was same high standard service, it was excellent, enjoyed the continental breakfast, was happy to find hot chocolate in the room.nFantastic stay many thanks, bed was fantastic, bedding was so clean, brilliant white. Staff friendly and could not do enough to make my stay enjoyable. As recommended by management breakfast was tip top 10/10.
Possibly the least comfortable bed and pillows I've ever used so hardly slept during my stay. Room looked nice. Was very annoyed as had to leave a business meeting at yeovil college as the staff were calling me telling me reception shut at 8pm.
Rooms are basically a bed sit. Ensuite is very damp no mold. Restaurant is non existent. Paid for breakfast which is non existent. Bar is basically non existent, draft is not available only bottles. Tbh only positive was the location and the bed was comfortable. TV very rarely worked and the shower is a death trap, very nearly boiled me.
