Not bad. A bit expensive for that it is, I paid for chicken tikka 12.95 and it does NOT include rice, I found that unusual. Had to ask for the salad that should come with the dish as it says on the menu. Also normally comes with a side sauce but it doesn't at this place.nnThey do not sell alcohol.nnService could be better, nobody checked in with us after receiving food if everything was okay.
We order a take away and nice to have seating while I had to wait. Service was good very polite and welcoming. The restaurant was over crowded with tables not customers and open plan and the customers were all pushed up to the front window. No privacy, and an environment of amplified whispers.nnHowever, the food quality was ultra budget quality for what you pay!nThin watered down sauce with small bits of meat. Not a lot I may add.The pilau rice looked reheated with oil  to warm it up in a half tin.The Peshwari naan, is men to be 'nutty' coconut and almond flour and 'slightly sweet'. All I tasted was sugar with little to no key ingreedient!nNot worth the money or never mind any good experience.
We loved our meal here. All tasty, well presented and excellent service. We arrived about 7.15pm, 2 people no reservation on a Friday evening. Note they do not sell alcohol but you can bring your own.
My family and I had lovely time at The Jewel In The Crown. It's BYOB, you're being advised of it whilst making a booking and waiters happily offer a glass for your beverage on arrival. Selection of the food was really impressive, both meat and vegetarian options. We went for recommendations sorry, can't really remember names of the dishes from one of the waiters who was super helpful and accommodating, and we were not disappointed. Portions were big and very satisfying. Service all together was great, very attentive and accommodating. In general, it's a perfect spot for a family meal as well as visit with your friends. Definaly we'll be back. Thank you!
Visiting the area, we called in on Saturday night without pre booking. We were given a table straight away and our order taken promptly. A little disappointing that they didn't serve any alcoholic drinks, but not the end of the world. The food was delicious and the staff were great. Top notch
