Popped in whilst driving through Castle Douglas. It was spotlessly clean, the two staff I met were absolutely lovely and really chatty. The food was delicious and all cooked fresh. I had a wee fish supper and my husband had battered sausage, chips and peas. Excellent drinks selection in the fridge. The best bit - the Scottish Tablet sundae we had. Oh my goodness! Unfortunately they'd run out of some ice creams but absolutely to be expected after a busy Bank Holiday weekend. I think this will definitely be our stop off point in future as we're often driving past going from England up to Girvan.
Great experience today; our first time eating here as we are just passing through - we were served by Abby who was very friendly and helpful. My partner had the large fish and chips with extra vinegar and I had the loaded fries with haggis. Delicious and good value.
Enjoyed a large haddock and chips supper with a side of veggie gravy. Perfectly cooked with crisp batter. Very popular when we visited with a decent queue, which is a good sign, but we were served quickly. You can also purchase a large range of ice cream too.
Raising the bar for fish and chips shops around Scotland. Our family had the breaded haddock supper, chicken goujon suppers and some pizza crunches deep fried pizza . All was amazing and so well priced! We also had some scoops of ice cream after and they were delicious and again, really well priced! The staff were so friendly and helpful as well. WE WILL BE BACK for sure! Thank you so much.x
Second time I’ve had a fish supper from here - just as amazing as the first time! Never disappointed by this place, the fish and chips are so tasty and really good portion sizes for your money! Will be back again when visiting Castle Douglas!
