Visited after comparing local fish and chip shops online reviews, websites, pictures etc, decided to visit Moore's chip shop as it appeared to be the best option.nnI had the breaded haddock supper £10.50; whilst the fish itself was tasty, it was very thin too crunchy therefore, and much thinner than a normal chip shop haddock and was comparatively small. Chips were cooked well and there was a reasonable portion of them. The 80p homemade tartare sauce was tasty. Took 25 minutes from the point of order for cooking and serving, which is perfectly acceptable.nnFriendly service and well organised operation, particularly given the busy queue.nnOverall due to the fish, whilst it tasted good, it did not represent good value for money when compared to fellow fish and chip shops.
Great experience today; our first time eating here as we are just passing through - we were served by Abby who was very friendly and helpful. My partner had the large fish and chips with extra vinegar and I had the loaded fries with haggis. Delicious and good value.
The food was ok .nThe service was very slow .nThey give u a wee tag and u can wait in the car then it buzzes when your orders ready , seems a good idea.nBut if the service wasnt so slow you might not need it.nThe price was a bit on the steep side for the quality .nThe staff were young and interacted amoung themselfs not seeming to have much interaction with customers ....maybe if they spent less time chatting the service might be a bit quicker.nBottle of drink expensive.nWouldent go here if i were in a hurry.
Enjoyed a large haddock and chips supper with a side of veggie gravy. Perfectly cooked with crisp batter. Very popular when we visited with a decent queue, which is a good sign, but we were served quickly. You can also purchase a large range of ice cream too.
Fish and chips at its best, freshly prepared, good size portions even for regular size. Very pleasant staff. Reasonable prices, £20.00 for 2, some may find this a little costly but you get what you pay for and the quality was so very good. We will be back before we go home
