Visited on a Sunday night, was fairly busy considering how quiet the city was in general. Food was really good and brought out relatively quickly. Staff were attentive and helpful, but not overbearing. Value of the winter 3 course menu was great. All in all - strongly recommend.
I had an exceptional experience during my visit today. The service provided was remarkable, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and consistently demonstrated kindness and excellence throughout our meal. The food was not only delicious but also offered a unique selection that stood out. The atmosphere of the establishment was inviting, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. Additionally, the restrooms were impeccably clean and maintained to a high standard. The timing of the meal service was also impressive, with drinks, starters, and the main course arriving promptly. Khinga who looked after us was exceptional.Thank you.
As I’ve written before, I’ve long held the view that the posher the location, the worse the breakfast. It’s a complex dilemma: do you opt for somewhere warm and welcoming, where the service is lovely but there’s a real risk of unnecessary garnish on your fried eggs? Or do you brave a hard plastic seat next to a man muttering to himself while devouring the fry-up of your dreams?nnWell, today we went posh.nnThe Ivy in Bath is a feast for the eyes—genuinely one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the city. And after a night on the tiles, it’s exactly what you want: a warm welcome, a comfortable seat, and a hot coffee placed in front of you before you’ve even remembered how you got home. The service is impeccable, the food arrives swiftly, and yes, there’s something green and decorative perched on my eggs—but you know what? I don’t mind.nnBecause a Sunday morning at The Ivy is exactly what Sunday mornings should be.
A delicious meal in a gorgeous restaurant. Only disappointing thing for us was we went for an advertised jazz and dinner evening and our table was booked for 9pm, just as the jazz trio were packing up. No indication that this was when the music would finish.
I recently visited The Ivy Bath for a Boxing Day meal with some family and friends. We took advantage of their fantastic brunch set menu, which included a welcome drink, arancini to start, as well as a choice of main course, a side and a dessert – all for under £35!nnThe food itself was fantastic, and I enjoyed every bite I had. The arancini were hot and fresh, and my Chicken Milanese was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t fault any element of the meal.nnThe service was exemplary, as you would expect from an Ivy. I always love the buzzy atmosphere and exquisite surroundings of an Ivy – and The Ivy Bath is no exception to this. Its opulent feel really makes it feel a special place.nnOverall, the whole group had a wonderful meal, and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out. If you’re looking for a lovely meal out in Bath – The Ivy is a great choice.
