I would have given it 5 stars because the fish was grilled to perfection, muscles were very good, tender and nice souse. BUT!!!! I ordered grilled cod with mashed cauliflower and something made out of lentils. It came nicely plated. I had to look for the cauliflower mash with the magnifying glass, while the entire teaspoon of it was tucked nicely under the fish slice. I noticed melted cheese on top of the fish, a bit of a twist, but thought I'll go with it, perhaps it's local. So I cut a piece of fish with the skin and the cheese, with tiny bit of mash and put it in my mouth...the next moment I thought I'll die because all I tasted was horrific amount of yellow spicy mustard. My mouth was in shock for good 5 minutes as I was trying to wash away the taste of mustard, one thing I could not imagine was mustard on my fish. Cod is such a gentle and flaky fish, why kill it with overwhelming amount of mustard? So i turned the fish over and scraped that perfectly cooked flaky flesh of of the skin. I never did get to taste that mash. However, whatever they did with the lentil was pretty good, it was fried crispy like popcorn, with bacon, very tasty and original. My husband was happy with his grill platter.

Ate here twice recently on a couple of visits to Bath. Lovely place, food delicious and for various pockets, friendly staff. Close to places of interest. Within walking distance to town centre.

Absolutely amazing sea food. We had the oysters, mixed seafood grill and the salmon fillet. All cooked to perfection. Drinks were great. Couldn’t talk this place up more if we tried. Pricey but you get what you pay for :)

As part of a chain, it's neither the best nor the worst Loch Fyne in the country. My fish was cooked perfectly but it was the only thing that was out of 9 meals so not a great return. Service was ok but the menu we were given was dirty and stained to the point of probably needing to be thrown out.

If you are looking for excellent seafood at an affordable price, this is the place. I had the cream and white wine oysters as a starter and they were excellent; perfectly cooked, very fresh and tasty. For the main dish I ordered the seafood tagliatelle and was completely satisfied by it. I have nothing to say against the service. The waiter was very polite and professional. I liked the open kitchen as it assures you there is no funny business in it. (Worked in kitchens and have seen many things.)
