The most perfect afternoon! I live in London, was visiting friends in near Christchurch, they brought me here to have a Sunday roast and I couldn't have been more impressed. The service from our waiter Stephen was remarkable - he was attentive and polite with out being to overbearing. He had impeccable knowledge of the food and drink menus and was brilliant with my friends 7 year old son. The food itself was delicious, I opted for roast beef - the beef was cooked to perfection not chewy or fatty at all. very generous portions everything appeared fresh and had been prepared on the day! cauliflower cheese is also included which is an added bonus as its something you normally pay extra for. The overall atmosphere of the pub was lovely and the staff make you feel welcome at all times, nothing is ever too much trouble. Really couldn't have chosen a better place to spend my last afternoon in Dorset Well done The Huntsman.

An amazing pub/restaurant. We loved the food. I had the roasted chicken and it is the best roast I have had in a while. We were served by a lovely young man callced Tom, I can just say it was an outstanding customer service. Big thanks to the chef and the whole team for making our night so great!

Very nice pub with great features. Warm and inviting with real fires burning. Nice selection of drinks. Great food options at reasonable prices, with all five of us very much enjoying our Saturday lunch. Glad to have stumbled across the Huntsman whilst in Brockenhurst Highly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the area

I had not been to this place before and I understand it has recently been taken over and refurbished. The Interior is warm and inviting, there were several fires lit around the bar and restaurant which was a nice touch. Unfortunately there were multiple items not available on the menu. These things happen but the limited options somewhat detracted from the evening. The food we did have arrived rapidly and was delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. Will return again in the future. If the full menu was available I would have awarded 5 stars.

The food was good. However we arrived early for our table at 6 instead of 7pm with AN extra guest. We were seated. They took out order and then we were made to wait until after 7 for our food. Everything was computerised. We had obviously upset the system. Staff were pleasant but unable to accommodate alterations to the plan. We won't be going back.
