Story

The Hourglass Devizes, serve good quality, fresh, contemporary food in a wonderful waterside setting. Even if you only have a short lunch break, half an hour to spare during the day or just want a quick break after a long day at the office, the Hourglass can offer you the ideal waterside setting looking out onto the beautiful surrounding Wiltshire countryside.

Chris is the chef and has been in the trade for a number of years. He has created an extensive menu at the Hourglass, offering sandwiches and lite bites, traditional pub classics, like fresh cod in a crispy beer batter, Sunday roasts, through to à la carte dishes, which change every month, such as Swiss style rolled leg of lamb, slow cooked for ten hours, served with braised red cabbage, curly kale and a rich port jus. There is also a separate menu just for children.

We serve Ringwood Best from the Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire as our regular real ale. We also offer a guest beer which changes monthly. A recent example is Hobgoblin from the Wychwood Brewery.

We have a range of wines & Champagnes by the bottle for you to enjoy with your meals, and we also serve 4 red, 4 white and 2 rosé wines by the glass. We also offer fruit ciders by the bottle, a comprehensive range of lagers, spirits, mixers and soft drinks.

Throughout the day we serve a variety of coffees and teas. So if you fancy a morning cappuccino, latte, americano or afternoon cup of tea with friends or colleagues why not join us at the Hourglass? In the Winter you can relax in the warmth of our bar or in the Summer months watch the boats go by on our waterside terrace.
