What was once a cheap and awful pingowave pub that sold everything with chips and VERY LOUD constant football tv is now.... An awesome Japanese and Malaysian restaurant with a pub. I took my two grown lads out for a meal. Superb waitress service. The food was made fresh to order and by gosh, it was outstanding. The price was such good value for the excellent quality of food. The prices are no more expensive than any cheap pub grub place but if you want a stunning authentic meal then come to the west end.

Unfortunately this pub restaurant has gone down hill, the place looks tired as are the staff. The dining experience is more miss than hit now. A lot of people have stopped eating there and just use it as the local pub. The food has become cheap and cheerful, miles away from our first visits 13 yrs ago. The reviews say it all, and it is very sad indeed.

Absolutely delicious Japanese & Malaysian food. Friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you.

Hungry Horse finished. Now a Japanese/Malaysian 'pub'. Moved up.from the Unicorn down the other end of town. Still very nice food, if a little expensive.
