Proper old fashioned pub with reasonable prices and good honest food. All home cooked and plenty of it. Friendly owner and staff. Recommend.

Lovely, well cooked food. The Horseshoes lacks fruit machines and background music and is all the better for it. Service is prompt and friendly.

Stopped off for a pint after looking for car near by. Good price. Tasty Adnams. Polite staff. The Sunday Carveries smelled wonderful but I didn't have any unfortunately was pressed for time. Stopping in again very soon to this pleasant little stop off.

Worst meal I've ever paid for. Overpriced rubbish. Waited 45 minutes for tomato and basil soup which I'm sure had Baxters wrote on the label of the can. Asked for a medium rare sirloin stake and got a well done rump. And the chips were macains home cut. The onion rings were mushy as hell again probably macains. The mushrooms were old with woody stalks. All in all paid £39 for a meal which I could of got better in any cafe. Only good point was the lovely waitress who served the meal as she was Incredibly polite. Very disappointed. Would never eat there again.

I’m a truck driver and ended up not being able to unload until the next morning. Ended up in the adjoining lay-by with no supplies etc so went in to be greeted by a friendly welcome and decent food. Would recommend
