The food was good when we eventually got it, but what a shame the Old Ram was so understaffed ! Usually we would hope to have a relaxing drink at the bar whilst choosing from the menu, but that wasn't possible. Instead we were immediately shown to out table (we had booked in advance), and there we waited . . .and waited. Eventually drinks orders were taken, but sadly what could have been a nice relaxing family meal became rather embarassing.   Two, perfectly pleasant, staff members, were overworked, with taking bar orders (sometimes forgotten), taking food orders and waiting on tables. They were frequently apologising for the wait, and that in itself became embarassing. The restaurant wasn't even full. Our meal took ages, we couldn't wait for deserts or coffees, and won't be eating there again. A shame, because the food was good !

We had a family meal. The staff were polite and very good with children. We ate of the specials board and the meal was delicious.

We went out to The Ram for a family birthday lunch and had a lovely meal. The service was very good and the food was really tasty. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Nice food, service was a little slow but it was a Friday night and fairly busy so to be expected.
