Absolutely fabulous little pub. The nicest welcome you could ask for. Cheerful staff, very enthusiastic. Wicked music being played. Food was spot on and well worth the money. Definitely recommended! Will come again. Such lovely character. Entrance through a gate door is novel. A charming place. Thanks guys.
Bar staff were amazing . Real ale was fantastic. Happened to go when offer of two pies for price of one. Amazing .
Popped in by chance and discovered they're doing a carvery every day at £7.95 plus good spirits offer....lunch sorted. Really excellent carvery meal, attentive welcoming staff wonderfully atmospheric old style town pub. Well worth popping into and I gather they do a good Thursday quiz
Fantastic 15th century pub, such an old interesting pub to be in, all original timbers and low ceilings really makes it a quaint unique place. Staff were friendly, welcoming and chatty. Couldn't believe the price of the food for the high quality it was made tonDefinitely worth a walk off the beaten path of the town.
We went in on a monday lunch time a few weeks ago. The pub was quiet but all the staff were super friendly and attentive and the pies were delicious. And there was a deal on desert so got a chocolate fudge cake too - great value and absolutelely delicious. If you're in the area would definitely recommend :
