We came for food. Excellent service and really friendly hosts. The young man behind the bar manager was excellent. He even filled our washer fluid using soap from his own car. Will definitely be returning and using some of the over night facilities. Food & drinks: Excellent
We stayed in one of the chalets situated in the pub grounds over the New Year. The chalet was very clean, warm and comfortable. It was lovely and quiet but close enough to the pub to walk to in a couple of minutes. The Holford Arms Pub is welcoming with friendly staff serving great food. On one evening we had Wagyu burgers, nicely presented and great tasting. On Sunday we tried the roast dinner, it was perfect. Plenty of meat, tasty veg, home made gravy and of course a big Yorkshire Pudding. A big thank you to ALL the staff at the Holford for making our stay so pleasurable. We'll be back.
My husband and I had a lovely evening at the Holford Arms. Tasty food by candlelight, intuative staff, really helpful. The pub and toilets very clean. A really great atmosphere. Highly recommended Millie&Lucas.
Gastro pub which also has rooms you can stay in, which a good. Food excellent. Staff friendly. Dogs welcome. Rooms clean, warm, naturally decorated. Only negative bench we sat on for dinner was not comfortable.
Very nice and cosy place. If you're driving around the countryside and need a place to sleep, then this is perfect. Rooms are comfortable and full of everything you need. Breakfast is great and rich. Recommended.
I came here with a large group of friends 100+ plus kids!, the staff are very friendly, accommodating and went beyond the extra mile to see that we got what we needed to have a truly successful Halloween weekend! The attached camp ground access is along the road to the left of the pub as you look at it and immediately on the right is where you turn into it, it is pretty good with Power hook ups on a good number of the caravan/camper/tent pitches closer to the building, the vehicle access road is coarse gravel but well mettled and maintained, the pitches for some heavier vehicles like my old landrover, were a little soft but we had had a lot of misery juice leaking from the sky! Provided onsite are 5 toilet, some of which have showers in the cubicle, with nicely heated water on an on demand push for flow system, these are cleaned daily, more in high season and if there's anything lacking just ask the staff! Their "Barn" entertainment/gig space is perfect for parties and weddings with its own toilet facilities, decently sized bar and attached kitchen for catering. Outside the Barn is a seating area with picnic tables surrounding a fire pit. Between the Barn and the rear of the pub is a sheltered area where people can relax in fresh air without being exposed to the elements. I didn't get into the pub as I was doing a lot of the entertainment with my sound and lighting rigs but the lunch we had all pre-ordered was excellent! Out of ten, they turned it up to eleven!
Quality is good for food and drink but the cheese board for £9 seemed a rip off for what we got and with no cheddar at all stilton, cream cheese and brie. Nice pub and the ales were nice
