Lovely clean rooms with gorgeous white sheets and mattress toppers. Staff are a credit to the hotel. Everyone was so polite and friendly. My son had a Thai curry which was also amazing. It is a bit noisy with traffic when the windows are open if you aren't used to it, but this wouldn't stop me returning back. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great stay Highfield.
Stayed here last night in the twin room for an event in rainton arena close by 15 minute walk. I had a peek of my friends double room which was more modern and bigger. Can't fault this hotel was cheap and cheerful. Clean comfy and spacious room. Plenty of parking. Didn't eat in the restaurant or drink in bar but looked fab. Staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend :
Really good value for money, room was absolutely clean, staff super friendly & helpful, good breakfast offer and the hotel's Thai restaurant was also good value in the evening. Needed a taxi to collect my vehicle from the previous evening, but could not get one. The lovely hotel receptionist called a number and managed to find a taxi for us. Things like this count and I'll return the next time I'm in the area
I have stayed here quite a few times over the last 10 years and have always found it very clean and very friendly staff. Reasonly Priced. Rooms are good, and everything works. Good views. The Thai restaurant is supposed to be great, but I have never used it. Hotel at the moment having so building work done. Please remember this isn't a 5 star hotel. Will definitely stay again. 30 minutes from Beamish. Rooms: Clean, tidy and well decorated. Food & drinks: Good range of beers and spirits. Bar food available.

Booked 3 rooms. Rooms all extremely clean and staff always helpful. Bar menu and breakfast had gluten free options for our daughter. Always stay here when visiting family and never disappointed with the service.Rooms: 5/5
Our third stay at this Hotel, Lovely clean safe Hotel. We had a problem with room noise on our first two nights, but were too tired to do anything about it. However, when we did complain to Reception they were brilliant , Nothing was too much trouble and they soon sorted out a lovely quiet room for us. We had a good inclusive Breakfast and eat twice in the Restaurant Bar., This was a reasonable price and the Thai was great. Thank you to the lovely kind staff, hope to see you again soon.
What can i say two loveky men who worked at night. The Saturday night watchmen i think peter thankyou so much for helping the young man who helped make sure i got to the hotel safeky . 5 star service. Wish i could thank the young man personally but thank you allRooms: 5/5
