Built in 1850 and set over two floors, The Hemingford Arms is a traditional old pub in the heart of Islington. It's cozy, warm and bursting with character, inside and out.

The Hemingford arms is a warming, welcoming local pub full of atmosphere. We have live music 4 days a week. All the major sports channels and a very challenging quiz every Wednesday. Plus according to Una (Landlady) one of the best Sunday Lunches in London.Also we have a large, quirky function room available for private hire.

We came for the Thai food, which is served afternoon and evening on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and were not disappointed. The green curry chicken had generous amounts of chicken and vegetables aubergine, courgettes, bamboo shoots with satisfying amounts of spice, and the sides dim sum and satay were good with really tasty sauces. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.
Lovely eclecticly decorated pub. Quite homely feel, nice atmosphere, efficient service. Lots of bits and bobs hanging everywhere, posters, signs, a couple of TVs too. Theres a very decent thai restaurant working within it. Lots of tables outside too, all set in the beautifully decorated frontage. Reasonable selection of beers too
Traditional pub with a nice decoration and some outdoor benches at a not too busy crossing. You can get there also tasty Thai food which I can recommend together with the beer from Brixton brewery.
What a fantastic place! Easily spotted from the lovely ivy. The decor inside is very unique. Live music, good beer and excellent Thai food I would recommend to friends :
What an Amazing pub!!!! Flowers everywhere and lots of picnic tables outside, so you can enjoy the sun. The interior is brilliant, lots of quirky knick-knacks everywhere, its like an art gallery you keep seeing cool stuff. Lots of tables and chairs/benches inside. Staff were really friendly & welcoming, good choice of beers and nice to see local ones represented. A really unique pub, loved it, will be back!!! :
We arrived at this place around 10pm with absolutely no expectations, and we're welcomed by a very warm setting and lively love Irish music. The ambience was absolutely fantastic and you will get the full English pub experience here.
Very cosy and warm English puba lot of history here , to not hesitate to ask member of staff to tell you a story , you will be very surprised : this pub very unique with a lot of details.
Such a cool local pub. You can grab Thai food from the catering company that’s inside too.
What a great pub! Fabulous atmosphere, delicious real ale - especially the Hemmingford Gunner. Friendly staff and a great Landlady!!
The Hemingford is a special London pub - hence why it’s always busy and booked out. From the amazing ivy on the outside to the fantastic interior this pub will be a treat to your senses. The publicans run a tight ship and offer a wide range of drinks. The addition of the great thai food is always a win. The upstairs is great but nothing beats a summers day on the tables outside. Come one come all !
