Recently stayed across the road at Haxey Quays caravan and camping park So had a wonder over to the Haxey gate, It was really nice. Dinner time had the small lasagne with Homemade chips, They were gorgeous. So Crispy And so we're the portion of onion rings we had. Small meal option for £6.00 was fantastic value. We went back at night. Steak with peppercorn sauce and a Hunters chicken were both delicious. With those fantastic Crispy home made chips again. Photos below are of the dinner time small menu
Great evening spent with friends during a Scooter themed evening ride out . Staff were excellent , great selection of beverages . Lovely country pub .
family Sunday lunch, half way hostelry between South Lincoln and Leeds. The food was delicious especially the roast beef! and the service excellent. Location is very good, atmosphere is country pub. Good VFM overall.
Four homemade meals with drinks and two puds - £55. Excellent quality, lots of choice, friendly service, good beer. None of your Pukka pie nonsense here! Can’t fault them on anything. Well done!
Went for the fish and chips and were not disappointed. Good service and great location. Got busy for food so booking may be advisable. Good selection of ales, would revisit.
Visited on a busy Sunday. They offered a great carvery and other main course food available too. I will definitely be going again. Nice to sit by the river and look over the fields.
Visited here 23rd June with the scooter lads and what an amazing evening. What a lovely pub and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely surroundings too. Really enjoyed my time here and will be visiting again in the near future.
1st class sunday lunch - been several times and each time delivers on quality backed up by great service. A choice of 4 meats unless you want a slice of each for same price - all the normal accompanying items with garden peas too which most places skip - good choice of puddings especially recommend the fruit crumble with custard all washed down with a good John Smiths.
Fabulous home cooked food, friendly welcoming staff, fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce £11 for 2 people. Wonderful value for money, If you live or are visiting the Isle of Axholme this is a must visit pub.We are definitely returning . All meals are cooked from fresh produce, home made pies, curry, fish and chips if you like home cooked food, this pub is a must.
Friends pub, with the tastiest meal and plenty of it. Baileys cheesecake also delicious . Hope to visit it again if Mr family can take me. Xxx
