Amazing food and friendly staff. Love the rustic feeling of the pub inside. A book corner for those days where you want to relax with a pint and a good book. Even has some there.

I came to the Hatch last night in a group of three, after hearing that it had reopened. We had drinks and then dinner and the entire experience was just fantastic.
From the moment we walked in, the pub felt welcoming and warm; a proper English pub. We found a comfy corner and tried the mulled cider and the ales from the local Godstone Brewery, both of which were amazing. From a quick glance, the rest of the selection on tap and behind the bar looks very well thought out and varied. The landlord was friendly to chat to and very welcoming; happy to talk through the local beer selections and breweries alike.
We had two servings of the Reigate Royal Sausages and mash and one of the steak and kidney pies. All three were fresh, flavoursome and very well cooked and presented. The food you would expect from a proper local pub, who take pride in their offerings.
All in all, I'm excited to now have a local that is friendly, welcoming and well stocked and will be returning regularly.

Formerly my trusted local and recently re-opened with a great selection of ales and is dog friendly. Hopefully the landlord will have a chance of making the place a success now the pub is no longer part of the awful Shepherd Neame group. Certainly the beers have improved dramatically. Will try food soon but hear good reports. Welcome back!
