Lovely staff. My wife threw a birthday party for her mum here and the staff were excellent. They prepared the tables and put some birthday decorations up. We arrived to put our own up but they had beat us to it. We added to what they did. They looked after us very well and the food was excellent. It was such a large amount of people to cater for but they managed very well and I don't think they made a single mistake. Excellent work and thanks for looking after us.

We had the steak which my husband said was beautiful. I had the mushroom and spinach linguine. This was nice but a bit lacking in flavour. Could have done with a bit of garlic. The portion was huge! I couldn't eat it all. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Called for a couple of beers on our way home. Friendly staff, nice beers and we managed to get some seats in a rather compact bar. Will definitely be going again - recommended.

Looked at the reviews and we decided to give it a go. Friday 09.02.18. About 8.30 pm. We entered the pub and we was greeted by a gentlemen sat at the bar who gave us a sort of a welcome, and thought he's jolly. As we started our drinks and then the foul language started, the man who greeted us had all ready had had a few drinks and was very loud, which if fine but the foul language at the top of his voice is not on, and the bar staff not making any effort to say anything. We dicide to leave. As we left he mocked us on the way out. He needs to go or he will ruin what looks like a very nice pub. Beware of this chap, no one wouldn't say anything. He thinks he's in charge.

I am very fussy about my food and this place surpassed my expectations in almost every way. Food was tasty and hot served by excellent staff. Add Theakstons beer and you have perfection.
