Came accross The Halfway by accident but what a great find! Eclectic, interesting yet comfy decor accommodated by a wonderfully talented pianist. 
Food was utterly delicious, great quality with the service to match. Would absolutely recommended for a nice evening meal out.

Eclectic décor with vintage items, books, melted down candles dotted around. This along with the low light level gives it a somewhat ghostly feel. Food was good, especially the baked camembert.

Great place with a very nice atmosphere and food cannot be any better! I've tried the lamb shoulder, the burger and the streak and they're all fab! Portions are so good as well. Would definitely recommend

I cannot praise this pub highly enough for their food, service and atmosphere. We ended up here after the previous pub we tried proved to be closed for Friday lunch, despite their website stating otherwise. We were delighted to find a quirky sense of decor was accompanied by a slightly unusual pub menu - the usual fare but with a twist.
I've now seen reviews saying it's expensive, but we found it no more so than a chain resturant. The portions are huge (perhaps too big) and the food fantastic. We will be looking to visit again.

we booked the halfway inn because we had been before and the food was excellent the only problem was that the service was extremely slow as in very very slow, and also we found that some of us had slightly different menus not that this was a problem because we just swapped but maybe have all the same things on all the menus just to make life easier for us. We also were charged for items that we never had. This was quickly sorted but you do have to check your bill
