I decided to join the gym for the first time ever in September go me. I was really anxious about it. This gym is so welcoming and friendly. Everything is REALLY clean and tidy. There's sufficient equipment and space. You can join the classes for free with your membership. The staff are a friendly and funny bunch when I've spoken to them, so don't feel afraid to approach them they'll probably brighten your day, lol! There is quite a diverse age group that goes here, which is really cool. It's a safe place to be and definitely helps with my mental health :
Amazing gym at an affordable price. Has a great atmosphere with very friendly staff who are always approachable and happy to help. In particular my pt who makes my sessions very enjoyable. He is very encouraging and supportive and always pushes you to reach your goal!
Being a female can be hard an intimidating when going into the gym. Easy access to facility, clean well kept equipment. Inviting staff and good fun classes non judgmental. Special thank you to Abbie for taking us through bits and taking the banter.
EQUIPMENT 5/5 Everything I need is here and clean. Although, I've never joined a class, it's part of the membership and there's usually one on. STAFF 4/5: Generally, eye contact will get you a smile and acknowledgement though I'd expect as a regular, to be recognised by long-standing staff and always get a warm welcome. Although I've never used a PT, I know they have many at the gym. AVAILABILITY 3/5 Despite being a large double-floored gym, the great value will attract more people. This can be a double-edged sword when you don't want to wait for equipment. COMFORT 5/5: It's all properly air-conditioned, music is on, changing rooms and showers are clean. Sanitisers and tissue are available easily. CUSTOMERS: 4/5 This gym attracts all ages and backgrounds. Everyone is civil and considerate in my experience. I've seen very little testosterone fuelled competition which is nice when you just need to get this done as part of your day. Can get a little '6th form' at peak time as a lot of groups of young people come in to work out and get seen which can also reduce availability whilst 3-4 people are around the same machine. OVERALL: If you don't want or need the bells and whistles of sauna/spa/swimming, why pay more? Come here.
A fantastic gym team!! All the staff are so friendly, welcoming, helpful and wonderful. When I first joined I was really nervous about going to the gym and kind of dreaded it but I can honestly say I now look forward to my gym classes each day. The wonderful PTs never fail to put a smile on my face and put me through my paces with their various classes!! Although I personally love the classes, there are plenty of machines on the gym floor and I’ve found the people who use the gym to be nothing but super friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone, and especially Amy’s, Sy’s, Abbie’s & Jake’s classes!!
Clare has helped me gain strength, and explains each movement of every exercise clearly. I usually lose focus when working out, but Clare has shown me techniques that keeps me motivated. Not only that, she will give you tips for exercises at home to keep you active. I would definitely recommend working with for your PT sessions.
Great gym, always clean and friendly staff. I have personal training with Jake who is excellent. Tbh I could afford other places in the area but choose this one because of cleanliness, availability of equipment at the times I come and I like it’s close to town so makes doing a bit of shopping easier.
I've been coming to this gym for almost 10 years now and absolutely love the place. The staff are so friendly, the equipment suits all of my needs and the place is open for whenever I want to visit. I need to give a particular shout out to my PT Ed Blaber, he's an absolute miracle worker and has kept me motivated for almost 6 years now. So knowledgeable and he makes a tough session fun.
Been coming here for a while and I must say The gym group at Chelmsford is amazing, fantastic equipment and varieties of weights to use for any exercises. The multpile staff are also great to have around as there able to help with next to any question and they're always friendly. So 5 stars from me
The gym has very good atmosphere and is spotless clean. All the staff are amazing and helpful. Has all the equipments that I need for my workout. Been there for about 4 months and plan to continue it
