My sisters and my mum took me here for my birthday and what can I say...it was spectacular. We went for a buffet lunch and the variety was awesome. We took a walk around the grounds which were really beautiful before chilling in the lounge area. Price point was appropriate for such opulent dinning. Parking was no problem and the vibe was really chilled no stuffy business.
We provided the sound system for our friend's memorial service in the Potting Shed yesterday. Every team member we met went out of their way to help us... from the moment we arrived until we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely sincere people. The best ever...thank you so much. The food was excellent too. Peter
The Legendary Glasshouse at the Grove, what a great place to take your partner, friends or even have an office lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. The food is a buffet yes but not what many associate with buffets, this is a high end buffet with great selection of food from around the world cooked to perfection. And as good as the food is the service is even better, when we sat down waiting staff called Diane came over and immediately introduced themselves and that they would take care of us. This is exactly what they did, and when drinks were delivered late Diane got more upset for us. Diane was absolutely on as were all the other staff who provide the absolute best customer service, polite and genuine conversations. This a definate recommendation for those that are foodies and love a great experience. Various live counters included, Italian pizza and pasta, great and tasty roasts with sirloin and desserts to die for with a fondue chocolate fountain to top it off. The bathrooms are immaculate and self contained with all the amenities you could need. The views and drive through grounds of the Grove were beautiful and picturesque. Put The Grove on your list of must visit dining, you will not be disappointed.
It is its own destination. Place is just stunning. The gardens are a delight, the staff are super friendly and helpful. It's sumptuous, quirky, they had outdoor cinema when I went. What more could you ask. The lounges are just fabulous, each one more gorgeous than the last-I didn't want to leave!!!!Service: 5/5
We stayed there whilst attending our niece's wedding. The rooms were clean snd luxurious. The staff were attentive and customer service was excellent. The staff responded promptly to questions concerning missing items. Breakfast buffet was delicious and extensive, as part of the wedding party we had our own exclusive dining area. Noteworthy details: Their lounges are numerous and interiors reflect a quirky yet inviting style, very comfortable and beautiful. The gardens are well maintained and perfect for walks. There are outdoor sculptures and water features that add to the contemporary ambience of this wonderful hotel. We used the Amber function suite, which was perfect for the wedding, partitioning walks being used to create the required ambience for the 2 parts of the day long celebrations.
Had a wonderful evening at The Grove. We arrived early to take some photos, splendid grounds with well maintained gardens, shrubbery, water features, etc. Food was delicious as usual and the array is well thought of and in abundance, a tad salty for me. Desserts were beautiful and tasty. Angel served our table and she was very polite, courteous and attentive. Thank you.
I can’t speak highly enough about The Grove and can’t say one negative thing about our experience. We were treated with the utmost respect and honor while coming and going during our stay. Whatever you desire in a respectful way, the Grove will accommodate to the best of their abilities!!! While on the grounds you can golf, hike, run, sightsee, archery, soccer, swim, get a amazing message…..literally the list goes on. The views are breathtaking! There’s 300 acres of live beauty and trees that are decades old. Our room was beautifully designed and is prepared for you according to the time of day. Running and operating at a high level at which we saw takes a strong leadership team. I was highly impressed with the staff’s level of attention to detail.
Beautiful location, stunning grounds and incredible facilities. The deluxe room was very dated and dark and in need of modernisation in our opinion but that was minor. The outdoor cinema was included in our stay and was one of the highlights for the whole family. The staff especially Sally Humphrey front of house managera credit to the hotel who went over and above to make sure we had the best possible stay. Herself and Martin gave us the warmest of welcomes and would be one of the reasons that we would choose to go back to The Grove. Thank you both.
Mixed review. The Potting Shed restaurant serving Italian themed food was fantastic, food and service was excellent. I'd give that 5 stars. However, beforehand we started in the main bar. What a joke, they only had 2 people behind the bar and hundreds of people to serve. We waited well over half an hour for our drinks to be delivered, we thought we would be late for our dinner reservation. We did complain and did get our drinks free, but that's not the point, the server who looked quite senior said there were too many people. That's not my fault, perhaps they should have told us there'd be a long wait and we could have chosen to do something else. Unfortunately after dinner we decided to go back for a night cap, bad mistake. Nowhere near the number of people but it still took a good 20 minutes. In fact we could see our drinks just sitting there. We went to get them ourselves and only then did someone rush to deliver them. And they had the gall to charge us for service. Get your act together. We all know there is a shortage of staff, but this was ridiculous. Not a good experience for an anniversary night out.
Have had many great stays here over the years with family. However went for the buffet at the glasshouse last Wednesday and thought the staff and host in particular for the restaurant were very rude. After waiting to be sat at our table we walked up to be seated and the host goes ‘can I help you with something’ in a very rude manner, another waiter who was very nice I must mention kindly intervened and explained we had a booking and that we were waiting to be sat. Rather than apologise for his mistake and unjustified attitude he just seemed to ignore us and asked the waiter ‘do you want to show them to there table then’ as if the speed of the waiters service was the issue not his hosting.. Very odd indeed and set a bad tone for the evening. Perhaps service is different when you’re only coming for food and not staying however appalled to be treated this way in a 5 star establishment.
