Just came back from a family trip with my family that includes three young daughters ages 5,7, and 9. We had a fabulous time. Everything was amazing. Some of the reviews I read online had me worried that the hotel was not children friendly but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Others were there with their children as well. My Marriott Loyalty went a long way as well. The entire staff was very attentive to our needs, very accommodating, extremely friendly, really everything was top-notch. Thank you Anna for the goody bag came in handy!
Great location, large rooms, impeccable clean, service team is very attentive. Great experience spending 5 days here. Highly recommend the club access rooms. We used it for breakfast daily as well as getting tea or snacks during the day. Rooms: Large comfortable rooms, big showers. Compared to most high end British hotels this is a good value for the price. Housekeeping is very thoughtful and thorough.
Our stay at the JW Marriott London was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and efficiency of the staff were impressive. A special thanks to Jessica, the Assistant Front Office Manager, who made us feel warmly welcomed at check-in, and to Herlyn at the lobby restaurant, whose exceptional service and attention to detail made our dining experience unforgettable. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. We had a wonderful stay and eagerly look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
Wow what an afternoon tea treat! We were warmly welcomed to the Park Room to the sound of a quintessential pianist playing. The service was very attentive but never over imposing our waiter Saiful was great at explaining the menu, making wonderful recommendations and was such a friendly host. The afternoon tea itself was the flower fair theme and everything lived up the magical beauty of it. Before the main event we were served a sorbet to cleanse the pallet and two open sandwiches! The actual afternoon tea was served beautifully. The sandwiches were lovely, only criticism would be a little light on the filling, the scones were freshly baked to perfection and dare I say the best I’ve had in my life! And the pastries were as beautiful as they looked. I did have to question if they were to share because despite there being 2 of us we only got one of each pastry it was more than enough as was very rich and tasty. Our server very kindly gave us some extra pastries to take home as I said my daughter would have loved them! This was such a lovely touch and completely unexpected. All in all we were blown away by it - would highly recommend it to any afternoon tea lover!
Just stayed at the JW Marriott on Grosvenor Road, and it was pretty awesome! The hotel has this super fancy vibe, which made it feel really special. The lobby is stunning, and the staff were super nice and welcoming. The room was really nice, too. It was clean, modern, and had a really comfy bed. Plus, the view from the window was amazing! The bathroom was also pretty cool, with fancy toiletries and a big shower. One thing I really liked was the breakfast. There were so many options, from fresh fruit to pancakes, and everything tasted great. The only downside was that it was a bit expensive, but I guess that’s expected at a place like this. The location was also a big plus. It’s close to everything, so it was easy to get around and explore the city. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars. It was a great stay, but the price is a little high. Still, I’d totally recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere fancy to stay in London!
Friendly staff. Specious room. House keeping service is exceptional, they clean and tidy the room and its beds twice a day. Has many lobbies and restaurants. Don’t miss the Piano player in the main lobby. Executive lounge is one of the best that I have visited before. I have been here 25+ years ago and the hotel has changed totally to the best.
We have stayed at this hotel several times and will gladly visit if we head to London again. The timeless elegance remains in both the area of service and room decor. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Access to the Underground is convenient, and the hotel borders Hyde Park. We ended up adding this stop at the last minute to get out of flood conditions in Cental Europe. Staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed several sunny, warm days in London! Nearby activities: You can easily walk to shopping on Oxford Street or stroll Hyde Park. Buckingham Palace is Aldi nearby.
I will share my whole experience to bring perspective to the complaints I have about the Grosvenor Hotel. My wife and I stayed at the Grosvenor House as part of a group in May of 2024. When we arrived at the Hotel at about 3pm and had to wait for over 3 hours for our room to be ready. As part of our trip to London, we extended our stay at the hotel on an agreed price, and confirmed our stay 2 months prior to our arrival, so I was surprised that we had to wait until 7pm to get our room. The hotel did not apologize until several days later, but did offer us a $50.00 gift card for their restaurant. During the stay our group was awarded a gift that was to be delivered to our room. The gift never came the first night or the second night. After the second night we were told by the front desk, that we would have the gift delivered promptly to our room, so we went and waited for several hours….the gift never came. This promise continued for another night and finally we just gave up. I am sure someone at the hotel stole it and we made sure to bring it up when we checked out. The front desk at the Grosvenor house hotel is very pretentious, and never offered an apology, or compensation for the stolen property that was in their possession the entire time. We were frustrated, but honestly, I was on vacation and did not want to become emotionally embroiled in something that was not that big of a deal. When we checked out, we reviewed our bill and saw that the hotel adds tips to the bill, so people need to be aware that if you tip otherwise, you will be double tipping. Personally, the staff here is not worth any gratuity. THE REAL PROBLEM came a few weeks ago when the hotel charged my credit card for another night stay, over 4 months later. I am not sure how this was possible since, when we checked out and complained about the gift we never received we had the manager review our bill in person. I called the hotel, which cost me $70.00 in international charges, and spoke with Jay. Jay told me he was the front desk supervisor and could assist me. He told me he was not familiar with my name, however proceeded to tell me the hotel has been trying to get ahold of me to pay an extra night for the last couple of weeks. Jay took my phone number and email. He promised to call me back within one day once the discrepancy was resolved. That call was over a week ago and he never called, never texted… nothing. So now I am left arguing with my bank over the fraudulent charges. I would steer clear of these thieves.
The hotel is beautiful and we have stayed there several times because of its central location. The staff are mostly kind. I am very grateful to Mrs. OKSANA who works in the breakfast restaurant for her kindness and elegance.Rooms: 3/5
Overall, I don’t think this hotel was worth the rating, price or hype. The room itself was incredibly outdated and my bathroom had a weird smell to it the entire time. The service was OK, but I had issues as earlier in the day the front desk had told me the business center was open 24 hours but then when I went at 11 PM to print, they told me that no one in the entire entire hotel was able to help me. I was next to a street and it was extremely noisy through the night with so many cars revving their engines down the street. However, the location is great being so close to Soho and Hyde Park.
