Found this place on a search for somewhere to eat rather than at the services by our cheap hotel. Didn't book but they managed to fit us in. Very pleased! Reasonable prices for outstanding quality food. Very friendly staff and easy to find, easy to park. What's not to like? :-)

Lovely country pub a short drive from the M25. Friendly welcome and service. The food was amazing and great value. The beef sandwich was huge and had thick slices of juicy, pink meat. The fish and chips were probably the best I've eaten in a pub.

Our favourite country pub. Absolutely delicious food and a beautiful place full of history. The grand fireplace in the middle of the main dining area is a masterpiece especially in winter. We have made many lovely memories here.

Limited menu option for my friend who is a vegetarian, literally 3 items on the menu. The menu options were a little confusing 2 courses for £11.95, but the burgers are not included and you can only have a starter and main not a dessert. Not sure if the specials were included in the offer. The walnut and apple starter was bland. The cheese burger had such a small amount of cheese I couldn't taste it so I ordered more and was charged for it. The burger itself was good, very meaty. The chips seemed homemade and we're well cooked and tasted good, but a small portion. Service was friendly and genuine. They start serving food at 6pm. I liked it, but not sure I would return.

We've tried to go here a couple of times on a whim but it's been fully booked both times. The second time the staff were actively trying to get us to leave. We sat at the bar and tried to get some bar snacks but were told it would be an hour for even that! Even a half and a packed of crisps was approached like we were wasting their time. We had our bike leathers on so maybe that's why, but we won't be going back. They seem a bit up themselves for what is essentially a country pub. If you are interested you need to book but we would not recommend.
