A classic British pub interior and exterior, with some modern touches, set in a quiet village. Good selection of beers and ciders on tap, kitchen serves beautiful authentic freshly made pizzas. A must try.
Found this lovely beautiful pub with garden seating to soak up the afternoon sun. Amazing worth popping out to visit and enjoy one of there tasty pizza or a full Sunday lunch yummy.
The fish and chips are such good value and a perfect mid walk stop. Really enjoyed our lunch at the green dragon. Feels like it’s recently been refurbished and looking forward to returning in the Summer to enjoy the garden.
Nice building and surroundings, but wouldn't take cash card only and for some reason wouldn't set up a tab, so would have had to go back to the bar and pay separately for food and any additional drinks. So didn't bother. If you don't want my money I'll spend it somewhere else.
We had a very nice meal at the Green Dragon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has changed since it was renovated but still keeps the cosy atmosphere.
THE NEW GREEN DRAGON!! The renovations exceeded my expectations, and were definitely worth the wait. All of the facilities are modern, but still keep to the pubs heritage. I was apprehensive at such a small menu, but they did the pizzas so so well! The ingredients are very fresh, and tasty. My only draw back, the staff were a little in-cohesive. The drinks arrived at the same time as the food, and we got charged on the bill for something we didn’t order. The staff seemed fairly rushed, and a little stressed. Although, it was opening night so this was expected to an extent. I will be returning soon, hopefully the new nerves will have worn off! 10/10 food!
In CAMRA's inventory of historic pub interiors - of national importance. This relates to the tap room, which is the best preserved space in the pub, with high back settles and a tiny little opening through to the bar. The rest of the pub is more modern and nothing much to write home about. Not sure I really saw this pub in its best light - I was part way through a countryside walk and arrived at midday just as they were opening, so I was the only customer in here, making it hard to judge the atmosphere. Also they weren't serving food on my visit. Seems a bit of a shame they don't serve any more local beers, although I suppose it's only a few miles from the M25 so in a way the London Pride etc isn't wholly out of place. I suspect if you catch it at the right time this could be a lovely pub.
Amazing place where I like to relax in. My son and myself were looking forward to seeing the Thai meals, however there is a special huge pizza ovens which now show cases it's very own homemade pizza. A good range of drinks to choose from too. I'm glad the pub is now extended keeping in character with the original pub. There's a snug which shows the history of The Green Dragon
Perfect snack after a long walk. Service was excellent. Pizzas were beautiful with some unusual flavours that worked really well. The lemon pizza was to die for. A very welcoming garden on a sunny autumnal Saturday afternoon.
Came for Sunday lunch on a warm day and it was beautiful. Gorgeous garden, excellent food - the roasts were great. An extra special shout out for having vegan ice cream that is also soya free for my son with allergies, he was so happy that he could enjoy a ‘proper dessert’ like everyone else instead of the item I had brought with me just in case. Looking forward to returning to sample the pizzas which looked amazing.
