What an amazing experience. Been there for the second time and everything was perfect : delicious food and a great service. Good wine list too. Can definitely recommend and will be back soon.
Always special to go to even for a hastily planned lunch for pleasure or work. The menu is exciting and the is always well prepared, served hot and delicious. The crab starter and aged beef were superb with creamed spinach and cauliflower cheese. The wine was brilliant and not overly expensive. It is a pricey meal out but it’s unrivalled for quality and experience anywhere in the area. It’s our favourite indulgence. And the staff are lovely, always.
Excellent Sunday lunch venue with outstanding roast beef and Yorkshire pudding cut your liking, in medium rare, medium and well done, vegetables in our case green beans and cauliflower au gratin, fresh and delicious. All served by Jo promptly with add ons of horseradish and Dijon mustard and coffee and desert to follow.
Yummy well made food, friendly as always and super accommodating as usual. Local pub with top end food and lovely atmosphere.Food: 5/5
The Bricklayer's Arms in Flaunden is always a reliable venue for a special occasion. The food is consistently at a high level, yesterday I enjoyed a very tender lamb with a tarragon jus, and a phenomenal yuzu lemon dessert with raspberry sorbet. The service is excellent and they even presented us a complimentary ice cream when they heard we were celebrating an anniversary. Wide selection of wines, also by the glass.
We enjoyed dinner for 4 at the Bricklayers Arms in Flaunden near Hemel Hempstead. They have a very good reputation for great service and gorgeous food and the certainly didn’t disappoint us. Your writer had the scallops starter followed by the venison pie both delicious. Service is friendly attentive and helpful.
Food was excellent and the portions generous, glad we didn't order a starter but just had to sample the Dandelion and Burdock sticky toffee pudding - managed it between the two of us. Seriously good! Bit noisy on the Sunday lunch we visited due to the deserved popularity of the Bricklayers and the enthusiastic joviality of some patrons.
Love coming here, 5 mins from home. Our special birthday and anniversary night out. I'm sure the daytime sessions are more relaxed, but we love getting dressed up and coming for a late evening dinner. The menu is exquisite, and the accompanying wine list is extensive. Not cheap, but we wouldn't want it any other way.Food: 5/5
Our first time at the bricklayers Arms, had high expectations after hearing how good it should have been. They couldn't accommodate our Grandchildren because their fryer was out of action, all children love fries. After looking online at the menu I had decided what I would choose, then on arrival was given a totally different menu, so all change. I then chose to have a lamb shank but they didn't have them either, so had to have lamb rump instead, very disappointed with that as it was very chewy. All in all not a very good experience.
Amazing food in a beautiful location. We went for the Sunday roast and it’s one of the best we’ve had. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back! Kid-friendliness: We took our 10month old and a pushchair and they were very accommodating
