A bit of a faff to get to from Southampton by train, but so utterly worth it. Friendly staff, with wonderful service. The food was outstanding, and it was wonderful to have a pub with Fursty Ferret on draught. A very pleasant afternoon out. Looking forward to doing it again.
Service was excellent. Food was good. We asked to move tables as the sun was rather overpowering and this was done without any fuss. Highly recommended.
Took my Mum and Step Dad for Sunday lunch and have to say it was excellent. It was busy but we'd booked online and we shown to our table straight away. Excellent friendly service with a smile from everyone, food didn't take long and was really tasty with decent portions. Not to mention the unlimited Yorkshire Pudding!! Wide choice of specials on the day and good wine selection. We'll definitely be going back and would recommend it without hesitation. Thanks!
Large pub and beer garden, clean and spacious. Friendly staff, good food and beers.
Staff are amazing. Went in with my father who is on end of life oxygen and need to plug his pack in, they were really acommidating and showed us the best tables near plugs! Great cake slices! We ended up booking the same spot for the next day for an impromptu family gathering, and was given an amazing buffet which was the perfect amount. The food we did order was of good quality and size. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
Went for Sunday roast. Very, very poor! Reheated from lunchtime! Gravy very watered down. Broccoli almost raw. Meals not hot. Would have expected freshly cooked everything. Won’t be going back and would not recommend.
First and last visit. I feel they are expensive for what you get. No one comes to greet you. Menus are on the table and you order drinks and food from your table via the app or you go to the bar. Our meals took over 30 mins and it didn't appear to be busy. No table check to see if we were happy. Come on people, even spoons do that!!! No plates cleared when we had finished. I then had to master the app to order 2 puddings that took over 30mins to arrive. I did complain about that and was offered a free drink but I only drink water but my had one. All in all not my best experience, food was fairly good but over priced and you really can't beat proper service from a proper human, sadly apps can't replace that.
Went there for Christmas lunch, food was great, staff were lovely down side was it took 2 hours before we were served our main course. Understand that timings go astray on such days but wish the staff had told us how far behind they were running. Felt sorry for the staff because this meant they had to work a few hours longer due to the over running. Would go there again
Love the place but have to say the vegan ice cream is just not me.... and there is not an alternative choice. Not a huge choice on alcohol free drinks either if you font like fizzy stuff..... but food is really good and staff are great.
