We were here a couple weeks ago and the burger and Mac and cheese was lovely. We returned to try the Sunday roast had the beef and the pork and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. It wasn't the worst by any means but the quality definitely isn't consistent
Sad these days that many pubs try and make up for the anti-pub atmosphere whether it be thanks to rates, taxes, sundry other bureaucratic and general social changes plus Covid I suppose so it’s refreshing to find a pub that still manages a very workable balance of great food and atmosphere, whilst maintaining a decent amount of pub space and vibe. New specials on the day menu and very well priced indeed. Definitely worth a visit. Open only from 2pm W-Sun but that’s ok too. Large screen in the pub area so sports don’t go to the wayside. Dog friendly and great beer garden wonderful staff.

This is a lovely pub with good programmes, delicious drinks, and yummy food.nThe service was excellent.nnWe didn't realise we needed a reservation, so there was no seats available inside.nThe lady dunno if she was a manager explained that we could stay and have drinks outside until 8:30p.m., but she'd let us know if a table became available.nnOur drinks, Captain's orders and *can't recall the pink one* were just what the doctor ordered.nnI had an 6-hour braised beef and my sister had a burger. Both were sooooo yummy! Dunno why I didn't take pictures.nnI can't wait to visit on a Thursday - the steak is calling my name!nnThe music was good, and at a sensible volume.nThe bathrooms are clean; there's an accessible one too.
Superb food with brilliant service. One of the best roasts we’ve ever had!!nnWe’ll be back
