I’m 67 and in all my years, these local GPs are the best I’ve ever encountered - often better than private medical care. On Friday I called at 5.30pm half an hour before closing. A fantastic lady doctor called me back within minutes and prescribed immediately. I had my medicine within an hour - amazing and she was so willing to help. I wish I had her name but like so many at the practice, she went far and beyond the expected. The whole place consists of yes can do folks and they actually care. I owe East Calder Medical Practice big time
I moved to East Calder Medical Practice about a year ago after relocating to the Livingston area, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received.nnCompared to my previous GP, where everything always felt like a problem, this practice has been a completely different experience. The staff clearly enjoy their jobs—they’re always cheerful, whether you’re speaking to them on the phone or in person. The reception team in particular go above and beyond to help, which makes a huge difference.nnI recently needed forms completed for my university at very short notice. After explaining the situation to reception, they kindly arranged for a doctor to review and complete everything within just two days, which I really appreciated.nnThe medical staff are equally fantastic—kind, attentive, and they genuinely listen to your concerns.nnOverall, I’m very happy with the service here and feel well looked after.
What an absolutely disgusting attitude from a receptionist who refused to give me her first name and office manager the initial is J . I asked to speak to a female clinician due to past history in my life and not both of them could understand why, I was not going into detail it’s none of there business. more training needs to be done why people ask for a female doctor and not questioned because there is a reason. Some one is asking this, I have asked this before and never had a problem. I would give them no stars if I could. The way these two spoke to me was very unprofessional and attitude disgusting this was a triggering situation due to the treatment of these two people.
In all the years my wife , daughter and I have been using the Health Center I cannot find fault with any of the services provided. I accept it can be hard to get an appointment however the call back and Nurse Practitioner service as alternatives are first class. When listening to all the negativity often justified around the NHS we count ourselves lucky to have East Calder Practice. Thank you.
Can struggle to get through on telephone. Generally able to make an appointment on visiting instead of phoning. The building itself is extremely run down. Issue with overstretched GPs and therefore service for care and follow ups etc do get missed. Reception staff always do their best, are polite and helpful. Find the nurses are thorough.
