"Unique city centre restaurant in historic setting near the castle. Historic stone store rooms. Modern Scottish. Fresh and modern quality cooking, delightful staff, fun atmosphere. This is an upstairs vaulted stone cellar - approached from Victoria Street below. The modern staircase opens into a series of rooms or chambers, with attractive bare stone walls, superb arched sash windows, stripped wood floors, all original, tasteful and simply refurbished with wood furniture and fittings. Carlo Coxon's cooking is accomplished, innovative and delicious and the menu changes according to seasonal availability."
