Beautiful building in a picturesque village. The interior is cosy, comfortable and full of character. Walls chock-a-block with unique pictures, a maze of rooms and nice surroundings out the window on a cold day or hot. The staff are friendly and welcoming and offer a good selection of drinks and a solid menu for lunch and dinner.

Very nice food (Sunday lunch) at reasonable price. Several dining areas separate from the pub proper. Outside dining and kids play area. Decent amount of parking.

Visiting from Australia for a month and as I have always enjoyed this pub on prior visits, I decided to pop in for a quick early evening meal. Very enjoyable, superb atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed the Scampl. Will certainly be returning several times before I fly home.
