Good quality cuisine and an enjoyable evening. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and we were made to feel welcome. As a family of 4 each had different main courses and all of us found the taste, presentation and quality to be of a high standard. One minor complaint was the pastry on the steak pie was a separately prepared ‘crust’ but I found it a bit light and tasteless but the remainder of the dish helped make up for it. All desserts were equally good. Would definitely return if in the area and certainly recommend

28 of us went for afternoon tea.....fabulous food and great bowls of proper chips as well. Plenty of sandwiches, cakes, and scones with jam and cream. Tea/coffee kept flowing. Staff very attentive and helpful. Excellent value for money, we all had little bags to take home what we were too full to finish. Sun was out so we enjoyed the views towards the Cheshire plains and beyond.

Didn't have starters on set menu for boxing day as there wasn't much choice. Mains I had the top side beef was beautiful but not very filling needed more veg. my dessert was bog standard cheese cake with a shot of baileys poured over one end. My friends had to swap the parfait for the caramel waffle because for the price something the size of a credit card with a sprinkle of meringue was not sufficient. Other people's mains around is looked well displayed but the faff to attempt to sit two different family on the table next to us disturbed our meal and over heard even though you had to prebook they hadn't got enough high chairs for the children and a guest on the next table had to drive home to get one.

This is a great place, the food is good and the service is okay. A nice place to sit and eat. There is plenty of parking spaces and it out easy for disabled people.
