I dined at the Golden Acorn in Glenrothes, as a location it's almost perfect, the food is almost perfect... I only really have one minor niggle... the phone app menu needs a no coleslaw option, rather than it seeming to be a mandatory element. Having it there when the person doesn't want it... it seems wasteful

The food we ordered arrived lukewarm at best. The rump steak in my mixed grill had a crust on it that wouldn't be possible if cooked from fresh. Chicken was also dry in both mine and my wife's chicken n ribs combo. I've had better food in other weatherspoons around the UK. This one is definitely sub par. I doubt I'll be back there for food anytime soon.

This place used to be really nice and has went downhill. The last 3 times I've eaten there have been terrible. The portion sizes have decreased and they took a lot of the good food off the menu. I had a baked potato and beans and found a bit of chicken in it (I'm vegetarian) and the next time I had a baked potato it had about 7 beans on it. The staff used to be happy but they seem pretty miserable now when they bring your food out. They are still friendly enough and it's still good for a drink.

Food is average but staff.. particularly the tall guy with spikey hair is incredibly rude and ill mannered.. will not be going back and will not be recommending to anyone
